A credit union is a not-for-profit cooperative financial institution. It is owned and controlled by all of the people who use its services. These people are called members…not customers. Members of credit unions normally share something in common, such as where they live or work. This is known as their common Field of Membership. As a not-for-profit cooperative we are owned by our members. Earnings are returned to our members in the form of higher dividends on savings, lower interest rates on loans, lower fees and expanded services and products for our members.
